Chris Davis is a performer, educator and podcast host that inspires other musicians from all over the world. As the former Director of the Southland Jazz Ensemble, he earned his Jazz Studies Degree from Northern Illinois University in 2005. Chris began his teaching career as a band director in 2006 at Seton Academy High, and has served as an adjudicator for the Illinois Music Educators Association as well as the Illinois High School Association.

Chris’ weekly show - Behind The Note Podcast: Advice For A Successful Music Career – has listeners in over fifty countries and some of the talented musicians he has interviewed include Rufus Reid, Ulysses Owens Jr., Terell Stafford and Dee Snider of Twisted Sister and Celebrity Apprentice.

Chris has also worked with Dennis Edwards and The Temptations Review, Orbert Davis, The Clarke Sisters, Steve Harvey, Mary Wilson, The Four Tops, Chicago Jazz Orchestra, and The Chicago Jazz Philharmonic.
