Opal Staples is a singer, songwriter and actress, a true triple threat. She toured with Stevie Wonder, Seal, David Foster, Toni Braxton and R. Kelly. In 2015, Opal was selected to sing for the “Home Going” services for Mr. Ernie Banks also known as “Mr. Cub” in Chicago that was televised nationally. Her acting credits include “Chiraq” written and directed by Spike Lee starring John Cusack, Jennifer Hudson, Samuel L. Jackson and Wesley Snipes at theatres in 2016. She has also acted in Jackie Taylor’s Black Ensemble Theatre where she played the role of “Deena Jones” in the play “Dream Girls” and “Lillie Mae” in the play “Hoodoo Love” in Chicago at the Athenaeum Theatre in 2012. Advertising and jingle work include McDonalds and State Farm Insurance. Opal is a member of the Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA).
